Total Body Workout

Looking for a great Total Body workout this week??  Below is great Total Body that kicked my butt.  Add weight and resistance - it is key to working your muscles, getting your hear rate up and sweating.

With this workout, there are two circuits.  Complete the first circuit 3 times, rest for a minute, then move on to circuit 2 and complete 3 times.  You will need a timer.  Set your timer or watch you clock to do the exercise for 50 seconds and rest for 10 seconds.

Total Body Workout
Circuit 1 - complete 3 times
  • Squats - use weight or resistance bands
  • Jumping Lunges
  • Wall Sit
  • Burpee
  • Bridge dips on an elevated surface.  Put your heels on a workout ball, cinder block, stairs, or other solid elevated surface and use your legs to lift you pelvis off the floor until you are balancing on your shoulders.  Lower pelvis to ground and repeat.
  • Floor hops - start in plank position.  Hop both feet right to left.  While doing the hops, kick feet toward butt.

Circuit 2 - complete 3 times
  • Bicep curls
  • Push ups
  • Lawn mowers - R.  Start in a lunge position, left leg forward, resting left elbow on left knee.  Right arm pulls weight from ground, keeping elbow close to body, just like trying to start a lawn mower.
  • Lawn mowers - L
  • Tricep pull - R. Use a resistance band or free weight.  Drop elbow behind head and pull up and down, keeping arm and elbow close to your head.
  • Tricep pull - L

And there you have it, a full body workout!  Try doing the workout 3 times this week. Do you have a great total body circuit you would like to share?
